One of my neighbors found Kismet and gave him to James last night! When I got home after he called, he was terribly muddy. He has so much mud caked on his fur that it looks like feline dreadlocks! Actually the locks are kind of cute, but EWW, there are also giant pieces of mud hanging off him like charms on a charm bracelet! I don't want to give him a bath (baths = miserable kitty) so soon after his obviously-traumatic experience, but man does he need one.

He looks like he hadn't eaten for the whole two weeks. He doesn't seem sick or injured, though. I gave him a bunch of tuna, and James actually bought some cat food for him before he got home. So happy thoughts for James and the neighbors! I was totally wrong. I wonder if he got stuck somewhere? He certainly doesn't look like he was out having fun! He spent every moment last night either glued to me, or eating. He doesn't normally sleep with me the whole night through, but he did last night. Then he tried to go out this morning, but I had none of that.

And, of course, the moment I heard the news I promptly texted/ called everyone - omfg, found my cat!!! I'm a dork. I guess that's not a big surprise.

Mary Xmas from this dork!

P.S. Did I say I don't like chocolate anymore? I lied. These are like York Peppermint Patties for grownups!
